MY PROJECTS
Co-founded and co-directed by Lee-Chin, the Charleston Music
Fest has become an integral part of the cultural life of Charleston,
featuring some of today’s most acclaimed and distinguished
musicians.
Currently into its third successful season, the festival has brought world class artists to Charleston,
including cellist Suren Bagratuni, silver medalist of the Tchaikovsky International Competition, violin
legend Eugene Fodor, the first American to win the Tchaikovsky International Competition and Peter
Takács, first prize winner in the William Kapell International Competition.
Spoleto Study Abroad is a non-profit educational organization which offers professional
development opportunities for teachers, school administrators and adults and high school students
through exposure to the historical, architectural, and cultural riches of the Italian arts and humanities.
For the past few summers, Lee-Chin has been teaching and performing in the summer session for
students aged 15-19, an intensive interdisciplinary program with classes in vocal music, creative
writing, visual arts, photography, drama and dance, in a unique European setting.
The School of the Arts is one of six schools at the College of Charleston, a nationally recognized,
public liberal arts and sciences university located in the heart of historic Charleston, South Carolina.
Founded in 1770, the College is among the nation’s top universities for quality education, student
life and affordability.
Since her appointment as Director of the Strings Program and Professor of Violin at the College
of Charleston’s School of the Arts in 2001, Lee-Chin has actively grown the department, attracting
talented faculty and students, fund-raising for student scholarships and music programs, and
contributing exciting new activities to the vibrant cultural life of the community.
